Metal Female Voices

Monika Pedersen (ex-Sirenia singer) has a new band, called The World State. Now, she is recording her vocals. They talk about their influencies by Facebook:

"The musical inspirations are way too many to mention, but bands and artists such as: Ennio Morricone, Arcade Fire, Mike Oldfield's early works and Opeth are often somewhere in mind.

Nature, paintings, pictures and old movies are an equally important inspiring factor, with Sergio Leone, Hayao Miyazaki, David Cronenberg and John Carpenter as some of the biggest.

Mix all of this with a very vivid imagination, and you have the sound of THE WORLD STATE."
