MACBETH - news

MACBETH In pre production for the new album.

Italian gothic metallers MACBETH have confirmed that the band is currently in pre-production for its fifth full-length.
Commented the group: "We know. It has been a while since our last update and that is not without reason. This year has been a pretty busy and tumultuous one for band members. We've been hard at work writing material for the next album since last winter, but unfortunately we have been forced to take a break during this spring and summer as Max needed to recover from a serious shoulder injury exacerbated by playing guitar. Luckily Max's shoulder is fully healed and he's working on new stuff right now. Among other things (on September the 4th), Fabrizio and Morena got married after being together almost ten years! Currently in pre-production phase the band is working on vocal lines and lyrics for almost 10 brand new songs. All we can say is that we feel it's some of the best stuff we have ever written. The new studio album is as yet untitled and still without a release date. More details about studios will follow as soon as everything is confirmed. Stay tuned for updates!"

Tarja Turunen - Entire concert in video

Fan-filmed video footage of former NIGHTWISH singer Tarja Turunen's entire October 11, 2010 concert at 013 in Tilburg, the Netherlands can be viewed at this location or at Female Metal TV

NIGHTWISH start the recording of their upcoming album

NIGHTWISH have officially started recording the follow-up to 2007's "Dark Passion Play". Drummer Jukka Nevalainen writes on the band's official web site, "After spending an intensive summer camp on Finnish countryside and putting a final touch to [a pre-production/demo recording of all the songs that will be featured on the CD], we started recording the drums for our next album. We gathered together [on Thursday, October 14] and set up the drums and all the recording devices. [Friday, October 15] was mostly spent just perfecting the sounds. Just like with our last album we got some back-up from Mr. Kai Hahto (SWALLOW THE SUN and WINTERSUN), who is known to be able to conjure godly sounds by tuning the drums. The legendary duet of Mikko Karmila and TeeCee Kinnunen are taking care of the engineering again. [Friday night] ended with a complete take of the first song, so the recording session has now officially started!"

SIRENIA: Album title revealed

'The Enigma of Life' is the title of the new album by Sirenia!
The album will be up for an early 2011 release and Ailyn is in the studio now to record her vocals.

Here you have the first pictures of Ailyn in the studio:

Xe-NONE signs deal with CHAOTIC NOIZ

Russian Industrial Dance Metal band Xe-NONE have signed a record deal with CHAOTIC NOIZ (division of Russian major label SOYUZ) to release their second album.

Lexy Dance (vocal) says: "Signing a deal to release our second full-length "Dancefloration" with CHAOTIC NOIZ is a big step for Xe-NONE. We're happy that the label put trust in our band and we're more than sure it's the beginning of a beautiful friendship! We entered a new level, which made us take our material and its realization more seriously. That's why, we've been running out of schedule a bit. Nevertheless, I can say that the preliminary mixes we have already recorded prove that our new album is gonna kick ass! It sounds much more powerful than what we did before. I think that this is the very record where we have finally found that necessary balance between dance and extreme parts of our music. Yes, we did change in some sense, but it's still Xe-NONE. Our new album will be another crazy and wild trip to the music territories that only few have try to tread in sound mind and memory!"

The album is planned to be out in January 2011 as a part of the label's thematic release series entitled «Cyber Revolution». More information to come! Stay tuned!

Currently, Xe-NONE looking for label to release the album in Europe and America.
