Review!
Greetings! My dear Followers! Here I give you my review
on the new album from our friends in Italy the touchline Deva!
Here is a little history of the group!
The Deva project begins in 2003, when guitarist Federico
Salerno met bassist Myriam Stallone. They began working on compositions , Deva
also included a male singer and a drummer . Then I joined the Beatrice band
that seemed to be necessary to reach a strong lineup : Male singer left the
band and in 2004 , we found our keyboardist Marco Castiglione . But we had to
wait until 2007 to have Thomas D' Alba on drums. Meanwhile , we spend time and
energy in the compositions , arrangements and pre - productions which have
become our debut album " between life and dreams ." After mixing of
songs (it was November 2009), matching RNC Music Myspace. them they liked the
voice of Beatrice , his voice and they asked them the entire album and soon had
a record deal and a management contract with this tag ( Orion Belt / RNC Music)
founded by Nico Spinosa , who spent over 20 years at EMI and Ros Manica who
spent his life underground bands !

Now a bit of history of the disk, Federico Salerno says
that this album is about a woman named Elizabeth, who was inspired by the
Goddess Lilith, who killed her baby. Elizabeth knows that she will be saved by
the goddess, but is persecuted, imprisoned and sentenced to death at the stake.

What input as energy! Heavier guitars and a strong, quick
and algid battery, Beatrice's voice gives it a strong emotion to song dynamics,

Excellent ! Song ! Check powerful ! Explosive guitars
with a strong battery, Beatrice's voice is more operatic shows more sharpness
to the beat of the song, background sequences with sublime vocals , one thing I
notice is that the time to voice Beatrice is shorter, the length of the music ,
but has good musical scale , something abrupt end but with a whisper voice
asking for more !
Decadence
The union of voices is sublime, the more acoustic track,
similar to the third track, environmental and gives us the emotional
combination of both voices , a melancholy song as time increases guitars are
present , strong to beat, melancholic solos and gray the beautiful voice of
Beatrice keeps her tone and tessitura and is changing ! Final sublime!

Become
I like this entry majestic violin ! The combination of
symphonic elements is sublime, the beautiful voice of Beatrice maintains the
tone and atmosphere of the entire album, a ballad is what I feel in this track
with the male voice accompanying guitar solos present time voice reaches with
the song , good ending !
Suddenly Awareness

A sublime, slow and mitigating input, dense guitars,
other more atmospheric track that marks the prelude pause that keeps us
attached to the emotion that gives us the theme of the album!
Lady of Time
A heavy and powerful input, slightly higher than the
previous ones, the voice of our Beatrice does not change maintains the same
intensity! The technique is very noticeable instruments , gives more background
to the song and body, a dark and heavy song! Like to hear what sound overwhelming!

Another more thematic track with voice and regulated time
, the duo is measured, but the female voice is still significant , nice piano

Acoustic input accompanied by a sublime flute , another

Confession
Regular rhythmic sound with good acoustic input with a
continuous harmony guitars, Beatrice 's voice accompanied by the voice of Federico,
sound like some previous tracks, handling instruments with long sound
overwhelming ! Great management and evolution of the characteristic sound Deva!
Remembrance *
Entry piano, and time adulante Largo, another atmospheric
track really melancholic and beautiful! Very melodic.
Lullaby
A sublime Symphony entrance, here we can find and feel
the emotion of the song , the voice of Beatrice shown with more body, feel is
achieved , scale handling becomes more noticeable to the accompanying sound,
clear sign of vocal ability ! A narrative song , the time of the song and her
voice while in the end and in the.
Dust and Shadows
Good opening chorus, and heavy guitars present sound,
melodic and forceful compound , give spaces between the voice and the song ,
near the end the speed changes more musical presence , the voice in the context

Lilith
Perfect combination on vocals coupled to the beat of the
song, the same speed and force between the guitars, drums and vocals, relaxed
emotion sounds similar to the previous tracks, mystery and heaviness in the

natural background of a storm and vocals that give it a mystery.

Rating : 9.5/10
Really the whole album has enough musical complexity
unlike their last album , this one has more body, greater mastery of
instruments , voice tone and maintained a steady pace , not low intensity , if
it manages to convey what they want us to provide , but remains somewhat
limited , in terms of speed at the beginning of the entrance drive is strong,
heavy and fast , and to keep the intensity begins to drop , holding the strong
presence but a bit low intensity , atmospheric songs are good breaks between
tracks, it is a continuous disk with a beginning and end, what note is that in
some tracks the song is more durable than the time voice of Beatrice , the
songs are dark , the tessitura of her voice it is melodic , with good sharp
clear which is present throughout the album .
It has excellent combinations of opera, classic gothic
metal music and of course progressive metal, although I notice a small, certain
inclination towards a clear symphonic progressive metal with a solid base, and
this makes a difference to the Pure Progressive Metal bands like Dream Theater
in the lyric is the theme perfect, it goes along with what we want to prove !
In this 2014 released their second album called ' Murther
' after all these years , after hearing these fifteen new compositions in a
time of almost 63 minutes Deva 's music is more present ! It really has a great
musical art have evolved , her voice like me , is consistent with a sharp as I
said earlier, powerful emotion with which he sings is notorious and is perfect
, but you can give more feeling yet! Excellent Soprano! Baroque violin , piano
and vocals really sublime , the album sounds mature with a variety between
tracks musically, without technique, voice or lose rhythm , professional well
recorded and produced .
The fifteen songs have a clear , heavy sound , with a
melancholy and Crystal touch , by the voice of Beatrice which is important to
note , also due to the fact that several important guest musicians on the album
were present as keyboardist Davide Barbieri, drummer Federico Pavlovich ,
bassists and Tony Accardo Ruggero Corizia played an important role in this new
album ' Murther ' .
Excellent musical work ! Within this Progressive / Goth
genre, with many Symphony trend

sad blunt, basic, simple narrative but direct
